Default Sportster tourpack

The wife just bought a 17 883 superlow. After a few ideals, she is thinking she wants to add a hard tourpack. Has anyone done this? If so where did you get your tourpack from (HD want 800+). Thanks

Search Amazon for motorcycle trunks. I don't have a link or even pictures at the moment but they have a really decent trunk with good black gelcoat/painted finish for $79. You need side plates and luggage rack to bolt it down to. Have one for my Dyna and was able to get like new plates and rack off Ebay for pennies on the dollar.

If you want to use a full size Tour Pak you might want to check Frankenstein Trikes .. under the Trike Components tab they have a luggage rack listed that is large enough to give good support to the Tour Pak ... the only possible drawback is that it is only for solo riders ... the way it is made it should fit a non-trike as well

At that price for just a non-painted shell that doesn't even include a backrest pad he would do better buying a finished Harley trunk!

Leather Pro makes a leather bag that will fit either the solo tour pack rack or the solo rack. I have the small one on my XL1200T and it fits really well and secure.

I put one of these on the OL's '04 Sportster, using a Harley Detachable Solo Touring Mount. I don't know if Harley still sells the solo tour pac mount, for Sportsters. It survived tens-of-thousands of miles, and remained water-tight. I fabricated the auxiliary package shelf (she absolutely refused to use saddle bags). The lights, functioned as brake lights, but there are wiring options. The "spoiler" (wing) had a third light. The whole mess was detachable. I soldered a tail light plug to accept the wiring, and removing the pack required removing the taillight and disconnecting the trunk's plugs. Wires ran through an existing, un-used seat-mount hole in the fender, that I isolated with a rubber grommet from Radio Shack (years ago).
Fugly. Functional ugly.
Her latest bike, has hard saddlebags (Dyna Switchback). Go figure.

scary, driving to work this morning I was thinking about adding a tourpak for when I don't really want a sissy bar bag on,
Was thinking of making something very similar to the Frankenstein one
