DayMaker Headlight P/N:67700145A for 1200 L Install Question

I just recently purchased the DayMaker plug & play Headlight, and the instructions seem somewhat vague. I'm sure some of you have installed the Day Maker Headlight to your sporty?

My Question is, in the DayMaker Parts Package it game with a Round-Flat gasket, Did you use it to install your new headlight? When I removed the Factory one it had no rubber gasket.

Also, when you installed your DayMaker did you have to use the Adapter Ring (P/N: 67883-04) or did you leave it off?

Thanks,

Racer

This is said with love.

step 1
put that piece of sh:icon_knight:t back in the box

step 2
return it.

Step 3
get a better led like the 8690m

or custom dynamics trubeam / vision x typhoon,

or even a $50 amazon wiesmic 5- 3/4

daymaker is overpriced and out dated.... nearly all sealed leds have surpassed the stale daymaker.

the $59 8690m knock off in my sportster now is actually brighter than the real deal that is in my dyna and BOTH are brighter and have a better pattern than the rhe daymaker.

step 4

simple plug and play, smile at the value you8 gotten hold of and the light output. You will be very happy

My original headlight had a rubber gasket with 4 fingers that spread out toward the larger diameter. The round part of it was close to the smaller (rear) part of the light, toward the connector.
I also had the same question about using the flat round rubber gasket.
I first installed it without the gasket, the headlight seemed to have a little vibration to it.
I then added the rubber gasket and it has been solid ever since.

I didn't use the adapter ring in my 2013 XL1200C.

Thank you for your reply, I went ahead as well and installed the rubber gasket. The ring was mounted inside the housing so I just trimmed the rubber gasket around the alignment notch and installed just fine. I haven't got to ride it to test it out for vibration due to weather.

Thanks for your reply...Thanks for taking the time to post the links. I got a great deal at the HD Dealer (Believe it or not), so I went ahead and installed the DayMaker Headlight. I don't ride hardy at night, so at least I should get a better See and Be Seen Concept!
