07 Nightster
Just picked up my first bike last weekend, 07 Nightster.
Dealership replaced rocker box covers, gaskets, and a temp sensor.
I've read that 07 year was bad for fuse corrosion and the like, im curious if there are any other quarks for the year or model that i should be aware of.
It's got some chubby bars, highway pegs, and the pipes sound like the baffles are drilled or the packing is burnt because it's loud. Otherwise, just needs a fine detailing if i can find the spare hours.

No extraordinary IMO "quarks"....
I believe there was a service bulletin on the fuel bump asm that bolts into/onto the gas tank.
Battery side cover "falls" off, update clips available...but to a search on DIY cures.
Water infusion to fuse box...no real cure other than to add di-electric grease to the fuses.
Axles...remove and re-grease as preventative maintenance.
Lastly, the clutches' brass spring plate...can be an issue over time.
That's the '07 issue I recall.
FWIW check the motor mount bolt on the left side front cylinder...mine had a tendency to loosen and also check the swing arm mounting bolts torque/ tightness. So would hurt to do a complete service manual critical fasteners check.
Minor changes during the model run...front axle diameter changed, ECM battery repositioned. There may be other changes and "quarks" and perhaps another co-member of this forum will had some further info for you.
Have fun.
