Never look a gift horse in the mouth)) That would be great! Just to make sure these are performance cams. I beg your pardon if that might be a silly question. I'm still learning about Harleys.

Day 3. Pretty good progress so far. Just four days ago my bike was 150 miles away from the shop, covered in dust n dirt. On a third day, quite a few parts were already powder coated.

Had to buy more aggressive media, since HD paint is obviously made out of kryptonite or something. Six more hours of thorough sandblasting before I was ready to hit up an oven. Nothing special about matte black parts like fenders. However, I tried for the first time to use wrinkle black on the sprocket cover, and it turned out AWESOME! I will do the same the tranny and crankcase covers.

P.S. Good thing I ain't married yet)) By the time I got home tonight, the third night in a row, my wife would already pack my bags so I could go live with my Harley))

QUESTION! I'm ordering new tires Michelin Commander II. The front tire stays stock size 100/90-19. However, the rear size seems a bit narrow for me and I want to order 150/80-16. Overall height is pretty much the same, so I'm guessing there won't be any difference, right?

Take care! Your stock tyre is 130mm wide, so a 150 is going to be 3/8" wider, each side. Fitted tyre width can sometimes be a little wider than the nominal width. Do you have that plus a bit extra, each side of your tyre? Later bikes have a 150 as stock, but everything at the rear of them provides the extra space to get it in. I suspect your bike will be tight, so check. I tried to get a 150 into my 1990 Glide, but couldn't do so with the stock wide belt.

So it is not the frame the tire may touch, but the belt, right?

That's likely to be the closest thing. Take a close look around both sides of your tyre and the other parts of your bike, where a wide one might contact. You need to be able to get a finger in there, to give you enough clearance. Your fender will be fairly close, but should have enough clearance IMHO. I don't have an earlier bike like yours, so can't be any more help, but hopefully someone with a similar bike to yours will chip in soon!

So here is the deal: I've measured the space between the belt and tire's sidewall. It shows 9.15 mm., which is basically my finger. So I guess I have to stick with my stock tires. Thank you @grbrown again for bringing this to my attention. I would never think of that until it would be too late.

I merely share with you my experience! I had a 150 tyre fitted to my Glide's rear wheel a few years ago, because some members in HDF assured us all it would fit - it didn't - hit the belt. Nothing I did would get it in. I eventually sorted things out and now have a 160, but that is a long story. Once bitten......
