2015 iron 883 won't start
I have a 2015 iron 883. I bought it used in April with 130 miles on it. I just got to 500 miles. The other day I went to go for a ride and wouldn't start. It would crank but not start. I was reading that if the battery is weak sometimes it won't start. I put a new battery in it. Still the same thing it cranks won't start. I can hear the fuel pump kick on when turning the ignition switch on and have the kill switch in run position. There is fuel in it. I pulled the spark plugs and they looked clean and I placed them on top of the engine and could see the spark when cranking the engine. I have tried starting it neutral and in first gear and with the kick stand up and down. I have tried starting with the clutch pulled in and out. I am not sure what the issue is? I am thinking maybe something electrical but not sure. Any ideas on getting this sportster running would be greatly appreciated.

First thing I would try is to turn on the ignition, put the RUN switch on the OFF position, then turn the ignition off.
Turn the ignition on with the key, the put the run switch in the run position. You should not hear the fuel pump until you turn the RUN switch on. Try to start the bike.
If that doesn't help, try opening the throttle slightly while you crank the engine. (engine may be flooded from cranking, you didn't say if the plugs were wet with gas)
If that doesn't help, check your fuses. Make sure all your fuses are good. You might try switching the two relays, one is for the starter and the other powers the injectors I believe. If you switch relays and it doesn't crank, then replace the failed relay. You have spark, you also need fuel and compression.

Thank you shanneba
Thank you
I tried doing the starting procedure you described with turning the ignition on with the RUN switch in the off position and as you described I did not hear the fuel pump kick on until I flipped the switch to RUN. I tried twisting the throttle half way with no luck. When I pulled the plugs last time they were dry. I pulled the air filter off and I am going to go get a can of starter fluid and spray that down the intake to see if that makes it want to kick over. I found 4 different fuses on the bike and they were good including the main fuse. I was unable to locate any relays. Any ideas were the relays would be on the 2015 iron 883 sportster?

Starting fluid
I finally got some time to get back to working on trying to get the sportster running. I picked up a can of starter fluid and sprayed some down the intake. The sportster fired right up but only ran for about 3 seconds off of the starter fluid and then died. This tells me the sportster has some sort of fuel issue. It doesn't look like this sportster has a panel for relays and fuses all in one spot. I am wondering if maybe there isn't a fuel relay but that maybe it is all built into a control module. Any thoughts before I finally break down to take it somewhere to get it looked at. I tried to see if any codes got triggered and nothing on the odometer code check showed any codes triggered.

2015 Sportsters have a BCM (BODY CONTROL MODULE) that is behind the ECM, there is no relay.
2013 models had the relays but no BCM.
If you hear the pump running when you power up.
Look inside the tank for a spray like a split fuel line will do when you power up the bike. There have been fuel pressure regulator separations in the past that cause a loss of fuel pressure.
