There are ways to make Sportsters somewhat bagger-ish, but still retain a good look.

That didn't happen to this particular Sportster.

I think people can take things waaaaaay past the point of good taste.
I know beauty is in the eye of the beholder but that bike is not one that's going to be ridden very far

Sacrilege!! The title of the thread should read "What to NEVER do to a Sportster".

Never seen a sporty bagger before...maybe I just need to get out more.

Maybe you do need to get out more, but that won't change having not seen many Sporties set up like this one.

Not gonna jump on the bandwagon and start trashing it.
It's NOT what I would do with a Sporty, but that's also why I kinda like some of the things that were done... i.e. stretched tank, custom bars.

I'm not a fan of bags and fairings even though I can certainly appreciate the value of each.
I like a clean bike.
BUT... Overall, I think the effort was fairly well done.
IF the graphics/green/Batman theme were removed, I think it would look MUCH better...although the airbrush work is very well executed.
Take it step further and change the black to a metallic and it might be a winner in my eyes.

I appreciate and enjoy custom work and would never discourage it, even if I don't care for the direction it has gone.

There are plenty of Sporties out there which means that there's plenty of room for the occasional one off/bizarre/abnormal build.
It would be awfully boring if they all looked and rode the same.

As far as buying it... NOT ME... NEVER!!!

I noticed that there is another Bagger in the garage.
I wonder if this was intended to be the "ole ladies" Bagger or if somebody just likes to be creative?

I think you deal with speedbumps by turning up the base on those sweet green sub woofers. The thump will make it hop right over them.
