Hi,. Has anyone else noticed shitty craftsmanship on the underside of their brand new petrol tanks. I just pick my bike up and I have a ding in my alloy wheel and a ache underside too my petrol tank.

Yeah the under side of mine looks as good as the top side.

 

How in the heck did that tank pass Q.C at the Harley factory. Get that bike back to the dealer man.

 

The preparation of any of Harley's metal work is beyond abysmal. I had an 07 Ultra and the powder coating on the whole of the inside of the swing arm could be peeled off I one large sheet. Reason? The coating was floating on the weld splatter that was never removed. My new CVO Limited is no better. Give me Chinese craftsmanship. At least they don't charge the sky-high prices Harley wants.

 

Thanks for the reply and so far. I'm not really sure why I had to wait a week and half to take receipt when all they seem to have done is tidy up the battery wires and it appears to have been badly washed. Can't blame them for the tank and wheel as I'm guessing that was all from factory. Will say, it's good fun despite the sound currently being on mute thanks to stock pipes.
