I'm convinced that owning two bikes is well worth the "fun factor"!!!

I think you, and others, may be onto something. Now to convince the father-in-law to give me his electra glide that's just collecting dust in his garage. Lol.

regarding cat in slip ons or head pipe, my 2015 sand cammo denim iron only has the cat in the slip ons, and the se street cannons are the same from 14 and up, i got a used set off jekil and hyde slipons that came with a 2016 iron front pipe, just saw today they have a cat in head pipe, but for us the eu4 exhaust norm comes in 2017????
but i had notiched that the head pipes are bigger and go down to the slip onswere that cat is also. but you would have notiched when you put you new oneŽs on.
regards
Sören

That is a great looking bike. The paint is awesome. I have always admired the 48's. I thought hard about one when I got my Sportster. Ultimately, I am happy with my purchase, but I still look at those 48's hard when I see them around...

Bike looks great! Congrats. Was so torn when I got my Custom a few years ago. The 48 has a great look. The bigger tank was the smarter choice for me then. Every change I make it slowly turns into a 48 inspired XLC though.

On my 2013 Custom that bunch of wires with the "webby" covering are running to your ignition. If you do an ignition relocation (left side behind rear jug) you can run those wires down instead of up along the frame. I need to do this to mine because I didn't want to change any wiring at the time I did the relocation so I looped it back down and left them uncut but am ready to clean them up.

Have fun making it yours. This pic of mine is a few months old and I have already changed seats.

Thanks! I think the Sportster Custom is a killer bike as well. I thought about a Custom as well and wouldve made it similar to yours! Nice looking bike!
