Default Question on oil flow 883

LOL I have a 1990 sportster 883 oil tank was leaking and I recently swapped it out with oil tank from A 1995 which has three lines not 4 . But anyways i used a T fitting So the feed and the drain are on the same line now. I had to hook my vent tube to wear my old feed used to be and also hook the return line to where the old feed used to be but my question is at idle I can see the oil pouring back down into the tank when I rev the bike up it seems like the oil flow gets less. Is this normal? I did use a decent size to T fitting so that shouldn't be a problem with oil flow to the engine in the lines that are looped to the front still go to the top of the tank just in a different direction so it can't be that the main feed to the engine does have a slight kink in it but nothing that would close line off.

"I had to hook my vent tube to where my old feed used to be and also hook the return line to where the old feed used to be"

I'm confused. You have the vent line and return line connected together? And the feed line and drain hose together? I thought you had three fittings on the 1995 tank?

A picture is worth a thousand words.
