Hey everyone! I'm new here on the HD forums. I'm also a newer Harley/motorcycle guy. I won't get into my motorcycle history now, just wanted to ask a question about horns.

I have a 2009 HD Sportster 1200 Low with a stock horn. Not a fan honestly. It sounds whimpy, like a scooter if you ask me. I want to change the horn out for something more beefy. I've been doing a little bit of research but can't find anything that I'm looking for. My Dad has a 2004 Heritage Softail and his horn sounds amazing, like a deep car horn. I want mine to sound like his. I've seen his type of horn and where its located (not where mine is). Does anyone have any suggestions? Can I mount a similar sounding horn where mine is now? Or do I need to relocate the horn to the side? Any information would be great!

 

Yup...the beep beep horn had to go. A wolo air horn or a HD loud side mount horn with cover of your choice are both loud. You will need to purchase a mounting bracket to install the wolo or the HD side mounted horn/horn cover.

Upgraded OEM horn...just a louder beep beep, then purchased a side mounting bracket and got a wolo air horn....super loud but it is chrome plastic so bought a HD loud side mount horn and 2017 touring horn cover....still loud and love the look a lot better.
