Default Baffle Removal!

I've got a 2007 883 custom with the stock pipes. Would like to remove the baffles. Is there a link anywhere that would explain what i need to do! Also on another note. Is that going to screw with my back pressure???

I can't help you with removal instructions but, yes it will screw with your back pressure. You will make more noise at the expense of torque.

Just wait until dallastx gets back from his rode trip to Arkansas. I think he removes and installs about 3 different baffles a week. And yes, you will have a louder bike that doesn't have as much torque.

I run straight Bassani pipes on my 94 sporty with torque cones they make a world of difference. Here is a link http://www.pipedreamz.biz/torque.html you'll get almost all your torque back. I don't know how well they work with stock pipes mine have a nice torque curve bent in the pipe.

leave the baffles in and get yourself some SE2's or vance and hines with removable baffles put on, have the bike adjusted for the pipes, youll open yourself up to performance issues unless you do it right. your bike will run lean without baffles i think, youll get carb coughs and backfires without baffles. Seems like the more we screw with our bikes unless you really know what your doing you just have more and more problems down the road. At least i do. Leave it stock until you can afford good pipes with the right sound. or wait for the baffle removal master dallas.

carb coughs? my 07 is fuel injected. i don't think that would be an issue...the only thing i'm worried about is losing compression and burnin a valve or worse

Removing the baffles will cost you some torque, but more importantly, it will cause a leaner and hotter runningengine. IMO, don't do it without opening up the intake side and remapping the EFI...
