Default Petcock ?

Hi I took of the tank for paining and wanted also to check that my petcock works properly. I have 2000 883 XLH sportster. How to test that its flows gas with no issues? Thanks in advance.

Was there an issue before you took it off?

Yes the bike was sitting for like 2 years and wen I got it I wood ride fine but wen I hit 60-70 mph it will cut out for a second the rpms go to 0 for a sec and back up. it wood jerk and pick back up. Im not shore if I need to clean the carb or it is a fuel flow problem. from the petcock. I put seafome in it but didnt help out that mach (( any Ideas?

That sounds more like an electrical problem to me, like intermittent loss of electrical power.

ok if it is electrical how I can trays it? Do I need to look in relay or starter or plugs? any common spot to check?

You said when you hit 60-70 it did it.
What about below that speed? If you cruised at 50 does it do it then?
What about lower gears at higher rpms? If you were doing about the same rpms in a lower gear, will it cut out then?
Does it do it every time?
Does it do it while leaning in a turn?
You need to start by determining when it does it and what is consistent when it happens.
Also check the obvious first like battery connections, main ground connections, etc...
Start with the simple stuff and check each thing off your list.

yes it dose it random but so far only on 5 gear and hi RPM
connection to the battery is good
ti dose it on the straight run
on lower sped is fine

Did you check and clean BOTH ends of BOTH battery cables?
