Sprocket cover mod.

Sprocket cover mod.
Ive been wanting to do this for some time now. Finally pulled the cover off exposing all the nice rust underneath. That's gonna take some cleaning.
Planning on trimming the stock cover and making some sort of inner or outer cover to hide the large nut and locking plate. Figure machine makes a nice trim piece to cover the sprocket, but I havnt been able to find a link to purchase it. So.. I'll likely just make something from scratch.
Really hoping It doesnt end up looking like a backyard special.

You can see more photos of all of them, and some matching air cleaners covers at this LINK.

I have one of the Figure Machine covers (there were several
styles available back in the day). They made some nice stuff.
Here's a pic of the one I used to run.
(ignore the new brake lever)
Then I painted the sprocket red;
Then I decided to go with something totally different.
So there are alot of 'different' options still out there....
good luck & hth,

Love the trimmed version of the cam cover in your last pic, thats the only way I would run without a sprocket cover (if I had the smaller cam cover). Maybe someday.
