48 - iron 1200
Want to get another opinion on this before my head explodes. I'm stuck between buying a used 2014 48 that's basically new (150 miles) and the new iron 1200. The price point are the exact same so I'm really torn. Thoughts?

Warranty

Forward or mid control preference?

A decision like that would be torture for me! Saw the Iron 1200 last weekend for the first time and it looks awful with that silly raised tank - but I also don't like the fat front wheel on the 48. So I'm sitting on the fence over this, sorry!

2014 48:
1200 iron...
i didn't list foot control positions and other stuff because they don't matter. all can be easily changed and should really factor in. at the end of the day, there are the same bike outside of what's listed above no they are not the same......... https://www.cycletrader.com/Harley-D...View=listView& the 48 dealer/seller is molesting people... mileage is irrelevant the value of the bike is no longer 10-11k. it's outdated and was replaced with a superior model in 2016MY. max offer is 8k or walk away. there's no way/reason why anyone should be buying a 2014 48 for at or near $10K. that is flat out ridiculous. solves that headache. that is used dyna money. http://www.nadaguides.com/Motorcycle...-1200cc/Values https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.hdf...441ea2b33a.png |

https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.hdf...dffc91c654.png that seat/tank gap may be throwing you off. https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.hdf...32087333c7.png |
Funny you posted this... I actually was in the exact same boat... Buy a new Iron 1200 or used '16 (48) with 55miles...
I bought the (48)...here's why.The 48 $1099 cheaper, and still had 1 year left of HD warranty. The other thing is perception... If I bought the 48 and put 4k miles on it and hated it... and then sold a year later.. vs. Buying a brand new Iron and putting 4k miles on it and then selling it a year later.. A buyer would perceive the 48 as a lower mileage bike due to it being a '16 model year with 4k miles vs. a '18 Iron with $4k and being 1 year old. I paid $8900 + tax for my '16 48 with 55 miles. Your '14 with 150 miles for $11k is over priced in my opinion. |

What is typical after all things are said and done with licenses, taxes/fees, etc? The 48 here is 9999 and I think I saw the new 1200 listed at 9999.
