Default Vent Hole

I still can't see how it's killing the engine, it just retards the spark a tad under load.

I think it's what Chapter Twelve in norman's post refers to.

Are you sure your new aircleaner or gasket is not blocking the "air bleed" port on the carburetor mouth? I don't think anyone has mentioned that yet.

That new aircleaner looks nice, seems they come from my city.

Love the air cleaner the thing is really just top notch quality no thin metal it’s quite impressive from a design and quality perspective.

I just popped it off to check the vent hole and make sure it’s not blocked and I can see right through.

Assuming we are talking about the same vent!

One up top for the slide chamber, one down low on perimeter of mouth. Well, that was just an idea, moving on.

Came back from vacation, slapped on my old AC, warmed up the bike and did some A/F screw adjustments and the bike runs like a dream.

Confirmed with my indie mechanic, the new AC has me either rejetting, putting in a Mikuni or S&S, or just selling the AC.

Do you guys recommend a new carb or should I try a rejet first?

The first thing you should do is check the existing jet sizes, the number is typically stamped on the end of the jet, but you'll likely need a magnifying glass to read it.
