Hey, I'm new to the forum so I'm not sure if there's another way to go about this, but I wanted to start a thread for the XL1200NS owners to share pictures, appreciate each others bikes, see how certain mods look, and share their plans for how they're going to personalize their Iron 1200.

Here's my Iron 1200. I've had it 2 and a half weeks and so far have 1100 miles on it mainly commuting, and I've installed a Bassani Road Rage 3, S&S teardrop air cleaner, and Power Commander 5. I've also put a Saddlemen on it and angled the bars forward for that fists in the wind feel. I am loving it so far and I can't wait to continue my build towards a club sport style for commuting and ripping up twisties. Mods that I have planned are Fox or Ohlins external reservoir shocks or possibly 13" Road Glide air shocks, fork rebuild with different springs and oil, 6-8" risers with different bars, HD quarter fairing with extended windshield, 2" tank lift and wire tuck, and a sissy bar.

 

Nice bike, I would not get air shocks. Stick with what you have. Is that prairie city in background?
