Default New seat for 2017 SL1200T

Installed new shocks and fork monotubes to improve ride. Good so far. Now looking into a solo seat for 2017 Superlow 1200T. Asking for opinions on Saddlemen's Dominator Solo seat, Mustang solo seat, others. Need more comfort for 2-300 mile/day touring.

Have tried a number of seats over the years on a number of bikes and keep coming back to the mustang touring.

This is the most comfortable seat I've found in 51 years on bikes and a major reason why I love my sportster so much. I do have the driver back rest too. No passenger seat so not that expensive.

Thanks a bunch for the quick, thorough input. The Forum is great, especially because of input from other members.

I run a Mustang with a backrest and can ride 24+ hours with no discomfort. The limiting factor is my staying awake.

I don't recall when I installed the seat, but I am sure I have over 100,000 miles on it by now.

I like Mustang seats. I've had a few of them on other bikes I've owned, and they have always been damned comfortable.

For my eyes, though, the wide solo seats by Mustang (and Danny Gray, and others) kind of wreck the lines of a Sporty, especially if it has the 2.1 gal tank on it. They seem to look a little better on anything with the 4.5 gal tank.

Just my two pennies.

Just bought a Mustang Solo seat. Also got a fender bib and a passenger seat. Don't expect to use the passenger seat much, but may need it to level out the back end when using luggage on a trip. Thx for the inputs!
