If I could afford the freight I would go over with my 2016 883 Iron . I'am sure the paperwork and needed license would be a nightmare to obtain . Wish there was something in the US like that . What a diiference in the culture of motorcycles between Europe and America . Here the Sporster is looked down upon and only the Old Fat Man Geezer glides, Billet Barges with their 1800cc engines are considered real Harley's . I think the Brits no what a real motorcycle is all about .

The main reason The Sickness was started was down to the fact that we used to get the same sort of comments
It's girls bike
it's a starter bike
when we you going to trade up to a bigger bike
So many people have to justify to themselves and others on why they want a new bike.
And I got the same question when I rented from ATL when I was over last year.
Him -
Why do you want to rent a Sportster?
Me-
Because I am spending 3 days in the Smokies going around bends...why would I need anything else
So the Sickness just says 'we love our bikes it whatever form they come'
We have an age range from 19 to 69, and if you could feel the energy when we ride as a large group...And I think or geography helps. it's only 850 miles from the furthest points so everyone can get anywhere in 2 days max

We've shipped our Glide to the USA and back home, for the 2003 Centenary. It ain't cheap! We flew and sent the bike be sea and overland to Chicago through H-D approved shippers Claridon, who shipped a great many of us from Europe. Shipping the bike cost as much as our two return air fares, then there was local road insurance, etc. It should be easier to do these days as there are various improvements thanks to the internet age.
