Default RPM Limitation

So 2 nights ago I recieved a reckless ticket for 110 in a 60. To try and help my case, I want to limit my 2015 883s top speed. I called the shop and they can't put a governor on it. I was thinking of lowering the rpm limit from stock to about 4k or 79 mph. Any ideas on how to do this or any other options? Thanks

Stop twisting the throttle so far... free.

dealer can drop your rpms ... you can also do it yourself with a tuner.

but... just stop speeding (in patrolled areas)

I wanna do something offical that shows I can't/won't go that fast again. What tuner would you say could do that?

4000 RPM is way too low to set your rev limiter. Just slow down, much cheaper.

110 in a 60 zone would be cited as "reckless driving" in Kalifornia. They'd likely haul your *** off to jail for over 100.

I think and only since you ask that anyone doing 110 in a 60 should best sell it and walk.

Doing anything to limit speed or power could get you into further troubles or reliability issues.

Doing what you first post is going to limit you to 79 mph in a 25 mph.

Slow down and stay on the speed limit before you kill or maybe do something worst then kill yourself or someone else. And never ever WOT thru the gears even if you are just doing speed limit.

"And never ever WOT thru the gears"

What fun is that?
