"New" Patriot Defender pipe

Here's some friendly, neighborly, unsolicited advice because you are a fellow Canadian. In no way, am I putting you down or making fun of someone on a budget. I'm on a budget myself and couldn't afford half the stuff on my own bike.
Harley-Davidson and cheap parts, or cheap maintenance never occur in the same sentence. If you are looking for cheap, you won't get any support for it because most riders are buying proven, time-tested parts or upgrades. Several reasons for that: they last and if they don't, it's well supported by these companies that have been around a long time and built a name in the industry. It hurts the wallet, paying a premium for good H-D parts or upgrades but that's the way it is. No short cuts.
Who the heck is Spyke? ...nuff said

The Patriot Defender is NLA for Sportsters.
Petronics owns both Defender and Spyke.
Spyke makes starters and petcocks among other bits. Dear knows why they have been given the task for producing this pipe, but that is apparently the word on the street.
The word is that it was to be ready in January, then delayed Eh..........................

The new defender is in the works. Pics of the new pipe and a little info is over at Xlforum. Who knows, time will tell. Used ones are out there. I’ve flipped 3 in the last 4 months. Everyone is scared to spend money on a used 300 dollar pipe. Nah, don’t be. They funded my super D carb project hehe

That's all well and good, unless you're in the market for the best performing exhaust - Patriot Defender
Nope, Bassani RR3.

My intention in my post on the Danmoto pipe question was playing on the not so subtle difference in the Queens English between cheap and inexpensive. I do not see the term cheap in this thread, and it would appear that you misunderstood.
In another brake post, I also cheekily used the British term "cheap and cheerful" which apparently you are not familiar with.
I have owned and built HD's since 1972 and fully understand the costs involved
Take a look at the Hammer Performance dyno tests and specifically the runs on the Defender to understand where we are coming from
