Default Speedo question

I recently picked up my first Harley. Got a 2012 xl1200c. I’ve been reading around and it sounds like it’s a pain in the *** to get rid of the ugly stock riser/speedo. I would like to keep the speedo up on the bars but not real sure how that would work with the dummy lights. Is it possible to throw my speedo into something like the stock iron housing? Or what other options have you guys used that won’t cost an arm and leg to relocate this thing? Thanks for the help!

Look at other 2012 Sportsters to see if there is another model with a set-up you prefer, such as on the SuperLow. You may be able to buy a secondhand mount. You can also check them out using a parts website. I assume you mean the row of small lights? They are on every Sporty, somewhere, so can be relocated. You may have to change the top tree for some stock options.

If you do a search this topics been covered in great detail with a parts list. You can either order it all new or find used parts from a bike that you like.
