Best Engine Mods for the Sportster: Part 2
By Staff Writer

Sportsters are small and perfectly formed but as stock. The XL series was Harley Davidson's first Superbike, the V-Rod of its day, but if you want to get more out of it, here are some pointers as to what you can get and what to expect.

That article so sucks. There aren't any cams for an 883 Sportster with stock heads that gives radical power increase. There are hammer 570 for 1200 with stock heads that are good for 14 HP. And you do not need to pull the heads to do a cam change. You just need to pull the rocker boxes.....

Cool

"a 100 horsepower bike will be quite challenging to ride in town or on anything other than dead straight and well-surfaced roads."
uuummm...OK...100 horsepower bike can't be ridden in town or on a twisty country road?, I guess I won't bother with the upgrade then.

IM pushing 110 HP and mine rides just like stock only way faster. That's nuts.

wow......just wow. Maybe if you took just a little bit of time to educate yourself on the subject you wouldn't of made so many mistakes in your article. Publications like that should not be allowed on the internet much less posted in the Harley forum. And I mean blatant mistakes too.
