Question 2018 Iron 1200 or Roadster?

And why? Seems like you get slightly better ground clearance on a roadster. Not sure about tank size differences between the 2. I know the front suspension on the roadster might be better as well. the 1200 iron is $9,999 While the the roadster is $11,299. What is the reason for the extra $1,300 on a roadster? On that note... now that the iron is a 1200.. why is the 48 still more expensive? Surely a fat front tire cannot really be a reason to charge 1,300 more for a motorcycle.

I like the Roadster because it reminds me of a CAFE bike. I already have an XLH , but always joke with the old lady about picking up a Roadter. bad thing is, Im not joking, I just may bring one home one day...

Why? my XLH is an 883, the Raodster would be a 1200

Ermmm, for one... maybe because Roadster front brakes have double disks and calipers?

Cool

Only one choice IMHO, the Roadster. Better ground clearance + better suspension + better brakes + good looks = better bike. Of course others may feel differently!

The Roadster was the first Harley that checked enough of my boxes for me to jump into owning a Harley. Do your homework, and take some test rides. Your decision will be clear when you're ready...

wheels are different too.

Wasn't the swingarm unique to the roadster as well? I seem to remember cvaria changing his over. (correct me if wrong)

I would go with the roadster as well. It already has dual discs up front and a better suspension than the Iron. It will cost you more than $1300 in modifications to get the same performance on the Iron. I only say that because I've put a good bit more than that into my Iron 883 and I still don't have dual discs up front.

Same tank on each. I have a Roadster and really like the extras it brings but I have had to Shell out a fair bit to get the bars (new cables/brakeline) up to be comfortable at 51 and toasted shoulder.
