Default mirror swap question

ok, so I know I am about to commit an act of heresy, but I have decided I don't like my mirrors hanging under the bars. If I had taller handlebars, I could see it more, because I wouldn't be looking over AND down so much, just over a bit. But on the stock 48 bar, its gotta go for me. So my question is, do I need to get the appropriate torx/star drive for those, or will a 3/16 hex wrench do the job? If I need the real thing, what size is that torx bit?

thanks in advance for any help

Where's the torx head? Mine's just a nut on a threaded stem.
Remove the nut, pull down. Then right mirror goes on the left side and left mirror goes on the right side inserted from the top this time.

Mine was a threaded stem also, unbolted, switched sides and rebolted

Nope, not missing anything ... except for the appropriate Torx Bit

You need a SET of Torx Bits anyway ... don't ya ... I don't think it will be the last time you'll need one

But anyway, someone with a 48 should chime in (about sizing) ... I think only the 48 got those

.

Dunno the total amount but I can say that you will thank yourself down the road by sourcing a GOOD QUALITY 1/4" drive T27 asap.
(this does not help with your mirror, unless it too is a T27...unlikely)
