This is what is driving me nuts, they all have goods and bads, that is why I want to rip them apart to choose the best one for me.
Sailing death I agree about dumping the light for either the side mount or the center fender style.

I am thinking spring seat, for sure, so damaged or dual up seats will go.

I can find bars for pretty cheap at webster (my last bars cost me 5 dollars and they came off of a Dyna Wide Glide and work with my Softail).

The first thing that has to happen is that it has to run. The 92 has crap bars for sure (sorry not my style), but he does mention other issues. I need to findout what they are.

I have removed the 86, I don't mind engnine work, but not having to rebuild a whole engine.
The 78 has no brakes and a bad fuel tank. I need to know what the bad fuel tank means.

I also found another bike, but not sure I would want to chop it up.
Another bike

I know, got to love a project bike. The 78 does draw me in, but for the price that red and black 1982 is really appealing to me.

This 82 that has caught my eye.

It is pretty clean, according to the ad it just needs a new fuel tank or just a good clean out and coating.

I do enjoy doing research on them and having fun doing that. I think that is half of the fun of a project bike.

I guess I miss working on old vehicles. Heck I still have an original 1950 MG TD factory manual from when I had one.

If I buy one for a project the most important thing is the engine, all the rest doesn't bother me because I start from scratch. My winter project is going to be a XL883 Hugger 100 year edition that was like new .
I took a testdrive with it and the engine was outstanding and had only 12.000 mls on it with complete service history.

This is as she is now, all the rest is parted or sold, as soon the winter starts I'm start building a frame en she comes back to life...

Already did some work on it, external breathers
