Definately will, but as mentioned, this is long term planning. Thanks for the great feedback.

I have a pair of "Sportster" bags I am trying to mount on my lady's 2007 1200 low.. I think I am missing some brackets. I have been searching online for some information. No luck yet, but, this thread came up in my search, so, I figured I'd check it out. Still searching, but, if anyone has any info, greatly appreciated.

Are they genuine H-D bags? If so you may find them and their installation instructions on their website, just go to the Shop tab. You can download the instructions, which will show you any parts that are missing, including part numbers.

Had a quick release mounting system on my hard saddelbags. Quick on and off. Bags in the pic could have been made closer to the struts but made room to install HD quick release mounts for quick release sissy and luggage rack.

Here is a link to the quick release mounts and how it looks....same kind of mounts just different bike and saddlebags.

You can also look through this thread as there are many different types of bags shown in the thread.

I have read most of that thread, great info. I LOVE the setup you pictured, bags, color all of it. Same color as my bike, but my batt cover and oil resivoir are black. Did you paint yours to match?

I know I asked you what brand thosecbags were but lost the info somewhere.

yes battery and oil covers are color-matched as well as the fairings and saddlebags....merlot sunglo.

bags are from the same site I provided the link to the bag mounts. The mounting system come with the bags. The bags are pre-lined with felt and has lid locks. I relocated my turn signals since I wanted the TS in case I remove the bags and ride without them but has integrated LED lights which I made run-brake-turn using DK customs RBT module (see link below). I subsequently removed my TS and installed a low profile integrated RBT LED tail light.
http://www.dkcustomproducts.com/run-...ed-rbt-mod.htm

Here are a couple of pics with the bags and fairings removed (both quick release). As you can see, the mounts are not over-bearing without the bags.

If you're into the "boxy" style that the adventure rider guys use, might read these
threads from the "other" place where they use Easy Brackets and Pelican cases.

I looked around a good while and since I didnt want to relocate turn signals etc I finally gave up and bought La Rosa throw-over bags.

Tomcatg
Those do look good. Are they HD brand? Do you have a mount system to keep them off the moving parts?

I don't like the idea of moving turn signals either, not yet. Maybe I need to get some bags and see how well I like them and see if I want a mire permenant setup later on. On the throw overs is there something to protect the paint to prevent rubbing?
