Default Brake Light Promblem

So I install a new handlebar and when I put everything together, my buddy noticed my brake light was still on. When I get home to check to see why, there is a gap between the pressure switch and the front brake lever. I know now that I am missing a rubber cap that goes between to the pressure switch and lever. I have look everywhere online to find the rubber cap, but I couldn’t find anything. Can someone help find the name of the rubber cap, or a site I can order?

Thank you in advance

You are not missing a rubber cap. What I suspect you have done unfortunately is break off the top of the switch.

You will need to change the switch.

When you take off the brake lever or throttle / switch control you need to put a thick piece of card between the lever and its stop to "operate" the brake. It is mentioned in the workshop manual.

Hopefully 2017 and 2018 bikes use the same switch. You are looking for part #71500118
