Hope you are right on model year.
As for the Xied and Vied from what I read they affect only closed loop fueling, as I understand that means pretty much constant throttle and NOT accelerating or decelerating, correct? Seems to me, not getting the extra fuel when accelerating would hurt performance more than a little. Or did I misunderstand something?

It's not that simple. The easiest way to explain it is there are some areas where the Harley factory tune is very lean, and some areas where it is rich enough. The IEDs work in all areas where Harley was EPA mandated to lean out. They do not work on the areas that are rich enough, because it is not needed in those areas.
It can get rather complicated going into the specifics, but that is the general idea of the process. What makes the IED products different from the full tuners, is they do not adjust timing at all. If you have any questions feel free to give me a call. We are here to help.

Thanks for clering that up. It would take several phone calls for me to get even close to saying I understood it. There is a reason there are engineers programming these and I will not try to act like I know how to out do them.
Actualy your answer was better than I expected of the product. I was concerned it would be fine in some areas but fall on its face in others but thaotsxface in others but that was based on my preconception.
Again thanks

The Stock Sportster tune normally only runs in closed loop with O2 sensor feedback and AFR/Lambda control until about 25-30% throttle and only below 4500 rpms.
Over 4500 rpms and at higher than about 30% throttle the Air Fuel ratio will be between 13.0 and 12.5 on a stock 2007-2013 Sportster.
I am normally at about 10-15% throttle at highway cruise speed, Interstate riding up to about 75mph may get closer to 20% throttle.
