I just put 2 OEM steels & a friction plate in place of the spring. Running Castrol 20w50 full synthetic, yes, I also have a little chatter/squeal noise when taking off from a stop. Doesn't hurt the bike far as I'm aware though, & shifts totally fine.

 

I don't think its a problem on the Energy One either. Some of us just don't like it.
