Default Different length forks for sportsters?

Am wondering if there are different length fork tubes for sportsters? Mi e is the 2007L I eventually want taller shocks and better ones, but don't want the rear aspect too high to the front. This thing sits so low my bike jack will not slide under it unless I hold the bike upright, whick makes it awkward and dicey to get on the jack.

I also will be wanting a bit more ground clearance and shock travel, thus the taller and better shocks.

Can longer springs be added to the front? Would most likely only need to come up less than an inch, just planning ahead.
Thanks

If a low is like a hugger then the shortness of your forks comes from having shorter fork tubes not just shorter springs..

but if your suspension sags decently a different set of springs might get you that inch by preventing sag..

I just went through the process of raising my bike to stock height because I hate scraping my exhaust through turns. I have a 2008 xl883l, and the length of the fork tubes are the same all around. The height comes from the springs and the damper tubes. Give me a little bit to find all the info I have written down and I can give you part numbers for shocks, damper tubes, and prices I paid.

Default Hope this helps

Progressive suspension fork springs kit

Standard 11-1527 $97.00 from progressive

Heavy duty 11-1552 (my choice) $109.95 from progressive.

Harley-Davidson part number for 08 damper tubes with rings 45925-04.
The damper tube springs are the same length on all models. I couldn’t find them online and bought them from the dealership for around $45 a piece. You might need to replace the fork seals as well. It’s a messy job, but an easy one.

I need to learn more about front ends work. My knowledge of them is pretty thin.

Yes

And probably available from a lot of other suppliers but this is the first one that popped up.

Harley updated the shocks and forks on the Sportsters in 2016.
The newer shocks are gas charged emulsion (available in two lengths) the forks now have a cartridge in one fork.
The single cartridge forks are available in two lengths, low and standard.
Shocks are low ~11 5/8" standard ~13 3/8", the standard length also gives you more shock travel.
The standard height shocks and forks should raise the bike about 1 3/4" to 2"

Premium Ride Emulsion Shocks – Standard Height

Premium Ride Single Cartridge Fork Kit – Standard Height

You would still need to replace the damper in your low forks to the longer standard height.

HD Also offers a fully adjustable fork and rear shock-

Screamin' Eagle Fully Adjustable Piggyback Shocks

Screamin' Eagle Fully Adjustable Front Fork Kit

You may also need to change your Jiffy stand to the longer stand from the 1200/883 R models-
Jiffy Stand P/N 49722-08BHP and possibly a longer front brake line.

Drag Specialties also offers a one inch longer or shorter kickstand for sportsters-
