You can find the parts manual catalog at Harley's SIP site-

Use the search at the top right and search for 1997 Dyna (or your model)

When you find the parts catalog for your bike, get the part numbers for the screws you need.
I use the alphabetical search to find the part diagram I need.

If you search the parts manual (search at the top left of the Parts manual)
you can find the section that lists the screw actual size. (use the down arrows to find the next instance of the part number)


Here is an example: from the 1997 Dyna Parts Catalog-

3849 SCREW 1/4-20 X 1-1/4 SEMS hex head (Grade 8)
