Default I have no info on my bike and I'm trying to figure out what all it has

Hello my name is Grady and I'm trying to figure out what all my bike has to make it go so fast, title says 95, 883. It has a screaming egale ignition with a 6800 rev limit, I've been clocked at 145 and I can shift out of 3 to 4 at 110 due to my barnett's racing clutch I can pop up the front fairly easy if anyone knows of a certain setups or what it would take to make my bike that fast I can push the 6800 rev all day I've done all the work since I have got it mainly just general maintenance, new clutch, cables, clean carb every spring, new belt, new bearings front and back, fork oil, breaks ,changed all my tires every time which if you have a solid rear mag you know what I'm talking about. I absolutely love my bike, if I one the lottery she would still be the only bike i will own. The last year I had it running top shape I put on 1000 miles a week for 6 strait weeks in the shawnee national forest. I ride year round. I hit a deer last year at 60 and was suicide shifting a 3 week later qith a shattered left foot and a split sternum hitting 130. I road for 3 months with my broken foot bahahaha, il never stop rideing. I heard a rumor that there are factory built bikes that are super rare that are a testament to what that bike can do. The rumor I heard was the evo sportster was an 883 named the Screaming Phoenix painted metallic Harley orange and burnt harley orange color for the flames, the old man that told me the rumor was convinced that what my bike is. I got it for 1200 from a dealership the guy that was buying it flipped it on top of himself and got hurd and scared then made the dealership take it back. But because of that there is nothing that came with it title says 883. If you made it this far thank you and I'm looking forward to any feed back, also I'm having a problem with it I would like to discuss with someone who know there bikes. I have to give thanks to brown auto motive kirksville IL, Jan brown black piston chapter prez for coaching me and being patient enough to let me do all my own work, and also a special thanks to the road captain of the Prankster MC Mattoon ILLINOIS for all the coaching as well. And YES she is in my living room so I can fix it in comfort.

Enter your VIN here to see what it was from the factory:

https://serviceinfo.harley-davidson....cle/lookupForm

Is there a part number on the Scremin' Eagle ignition module?
That may indicate if it is a 883 or 1200 ignition module.

32632-96 1996-1997 XLH 883 models
32633-96 1996-1997 XL 1200 models
This Screamin’ Eagle ignition module will allow the engine to rev up to 6000 rpm (Part No. 32630-96) or 6800rpm (Part Nos. 32632-96 and 32633-96).

32420-94 1994 to 1997 XLH 883cc and 1200cc
except 1200S models

This Screamin’ Eagle ignition module will allow
the engine to rev up to 8,000 rpm, which is well
above design parameters

There is no way we can tell by looking at the outside of your bike what is on the inside.

What would make a 883 Sportster that fast? A 1250 or 1275 kit, different cams, some head work or new heads, new exhaust system, ignition module, at least re-jetted carb if not a new carb. Do all that stuff and you can get a 883 Sportster over 120 HP.

But to know what is in it, you will have to take it apart.

Maybe you have an 88 or 90 CI kit. Are the cylinders cast iron?

Nice little bike, lots of potential! You look like a very happy owner.

Was that 145 you were clocked at kilometers per hour? I don't think I've ever read anyone going that fast on a street Sporty. If you did, good on ya!

Welcome aboard!

I had a new 883 in '84 and it was slow as crap. Even with a 1200 kit I can't imagine 145 mph. What I would really like to know is who clocked you at that speed?

How many RPM would that be to run 145. Too lazy to figure it out. With the right gearing and HP it would do 145.

With the current XL1200 gearing overall 5th is 3.517,
145 would be about 6740 rpm.

the 95 883 would be 3.615, 95 1200 3.366.

Might be able to reach 145 mph with a 58 tooth rear and 30 tooth front sprocket/pulley with 93/94 883 gearing.
