Default Fender Fitment

Does anyone with direct experience know if fenders from different ranges of years are interchangeable? Specifically, would an 04-06 fender fit my 2002? I know 96-03 (and maybe even earlier?) will, but the 2004-2006 looks almost identical - but maybe it's a different width? I am looking at one on ebay and don't want to waste my money if it won't fit. Unfortunately Harley doesn't make them anymore so it's impossible for me to look up compatibility in their parts catalog.

Thanks in advance.

Im sure the only difference is which front end you have, weather its for the narrow or wide forks.

Thanks @whylee. I should have specified that I am referring to rear fenders. Surely there must be someone on the boards who has tried to interchange them.

Can you ask the seller to supply some measurements for you? Width and bolt hole spacings.

I've asked but apparently they are an ebay seller who is not interested in making a sale and is too lazy to do so,

Bump, TTT!

Maybe look at some of the companies that manufacture or supply fenders and ask them.
