I’m wanting to know if the stock exhaust off of a 2018 Sportster 48 special will fit my 2005 883? Pic for attention

Good question - I'm not sure. What may not be clear from that photo is the balance pipe, hiding behind the mufflers, which also provides the mounting to the bike. While the pipes should fit at the cylinder heads, I'm uncertain about if and how the balance pipe/mounting will fasten to your engine.

 

What I found out is the balance bar is not removable on the new sportsters like it is on the older sportsters. The new Sportster mount to the bike by the mufflers. The old sportsters mount to the bike by the balance bar. So I’m gonna have to cut the mounting bracket off the old balance bar and tack weld to the new balance bar while on the bike. So I have a project.
