My Barnett clutch does not squeal on take off. The energy one I had did squeal. It didn't hurt performance, I just got tired of it. I have 110 HP so needed to get rid of the spring plate and up date my clutch.

The clutch hasn't gone and it was last checked and serviced 5k ago.
Those 40k put in the bike are not just motorway and standard road use. This thing had been up and down mountains and the clutch has managed everything I have thrown at it.
So I am only thinking of changing it as a precaution more than anything.
Have another 3000 mile trip across the Pyranees in Sept so was just looking at options.
Better to be safe than sorry 👍

Alto Carbonite Performance Clutchpak with the SE 10% or E1 15% spring. Better than any kevlar clutch and Amazon has it for $136. 2Wheel did a price match and free 1-3 day delivery. Got my slip ons here in less than 24hrs!
The stock 1200 spring is good to 90+ hp.
This is the way I'm going real soon on my 90+hp Hammer 1200/1250 with the JackHammer 570 cams, HSR42, and Khromewerks HP Plus slip ons. I might just leave the stock spring.
I know at least a handful of guys that know their $h!+ running high hp Sporties that wouldn't run anything else. No squealing that I've heard of either.
That said, I'd do the E1 before a barnett. If I want a slightly stronger spring I'd go the SE 10%. Plenty for 120+hp.

Get rid of the spring plate NOW before it tears $h!+ up and it will if you wait til it grenades. If nothing else, at least go stock with 2 extra steel and a friction.
But get a better clutch spring too. Just realized your a stock 883. It's not even good on a stock 1200. I'd burn that clutch up in less than a day with that spring when I was stock.

Oh, and get the good clutch spring tool from Motion Pro.
