2008 sporster 1200C custom head needed
Hi Huys,
My brothers bike has broken studs and we removed the head and tried to remove the broken stud. it seems the previous owner might have used epoxy or some other stuff as the screw extractor broke off "no it was not my fault" and the drilled hole was straight as we removed it from the engine and used the bench drill "also welded before with tig a nut to it but it didn't worked out and it broke". So now the solution seems to change the head. Do you guys know if the heads there are on jpcycle or on the Harley sites need any work to be done or it just need to be mounted?

The studs have an interference fit thread on that side of them. It's designed to bind up in the head. It does a mighty fine job of it, too. Nobody put any epoxy in it or anything like that. It was bound up by design.
There's a drill jig available for drilling out a broken off stud. It's the best way to fix that problem.
