DK Custom shocks/Bitubo AK-20 cartridge
 

Picked up a new 2019 iron and one of the first things I typically do to any bike is upgrade the stock suspension. In my opinion it changes the feel and enjoyment of a bike even more than power mods. I know DK Customs seems to be highly suggested in the community for their products but I'm having a hard time finding many independent reviews of the Bitubo shocks and AK-20 cartridges they suggest. I'm willing to budget $1500 on full suspension which would get me their set. My concern is typically if people aren't running them and talking about them it might not be that good. What would be your suggestions for rear shocks and forks in this price range?

A couple requirements to narrow down what I want. (No 12" or 13" suggestions) I'm short and I don't want a taller bike nor a lower bike stock height works well for me 11" or 11.5" only. I'm looking to have a ride that doesn't beat me up but also stiff enough to improve performance.

Should I just go with DK and call it a day or can I do better?
