Default Nightster plate illumination???

Im revisiting this idea again. Do the nightster bike's have a light that illuminates the side mount license plate? I can't seem to find or get any info on it still. Since I can't source out the bracket direct from HD (go figure) I'm thinking of unfortunately going 3rd party, but wondering about how to illuminate it, if I even have to at all?

So how bout it, does your plate on your Nightster have a light shinin on it?

Don't have a nightster but the answer is yes the plate is illuminated (its a light bar close to the inside edge) all plates have to be iluminated to be legal.
You can get those little button bolt lights at various places like JP Cycles and such. Just search for lic. plate lights.

I see the lil led setup now. I'd much rather have the OEM version than a 3rd party. Least now I know

The plate is positioned sideways because it looks cool. The license plate bracket on nightsters can be positioned either way.

Have you asked your local dealer if the bracket is avail.? I'm thinking it must be. If I were to somehow break mine on my nightster, I would hope it's replaceable
