Intake manifold for carburetor on 2007+ EFI bikes

I'm aware that there is a difference in shape on the 2007 and later EFI heads for the intake manifolds, as compared to the 2004-2006 rubbermount sportster heads. As a result, a different manifold is use for late model sportster heads when using a carburetor.

Any recommendations on where to source the correct width manifold for late model heads (which were originally designed for EFI) when using a carb as the fuel delivery source? Any other considerations I'm missing?

I believe Hammer Performance makes an intake manifold for this application but they are billet aluminum and therefore pretty pricey.

I'm familiar with Hammer Performance's offering. Their manifold is ported and flowed for performance applications. I'd love to have it, but I'm trying to track down a more budget friendly option.

For the stock CV carb option I don't think the Hammer Performance intakes are ported. Not a budget option really I guess.

Sporty Parts has a cheaper option.

You are mistaken.

You would know, but I was simply going by the Hammer Performance website. I looked into buying one but didn't because it states "stock ports are approximately 1.650" i.d. at the manifold surface". The only purchase option on the site for the CV40 is 1.650" i.d. and it even says "For Stock Size Port Openings".

@OCSpringer , thanks for taking the time to help out. I really appreciate your efforts! With a little googling I was able to determine that the part you referenced is an import (V-Twin part number 35-0724). I was hoping to find an American manufactured intake at a mid-range price point, but I think Hammer Performance may be the only US Made option for this speciality / niche part.

@aswracing , can you confirm that the Hammer Performance intake manifold is US made?

Also, I started a a thread here trying to figure out which gasket set to use with EFI heads on an 2004-2006 engine. It seems to make sense for 2007+ gaskets to be utilized, but because there's a non-standard part in the mix (i.e. the Hammer Performance intake for carbureted engines) I wanted to make sure I ordered the correct gasket set. @aswracing , can you help provide insight?

Absolutely, positively, and I'm not guessing.

Choose your top end gasket set based on what rocker boxes you're using. Although all the bikes from 1991-2022 use the same rocker base gasket (the one between the rocker box and the head), the rubber pieces are very different for the 1991-2003 (3 piece rocker boxes) vs. 2004-2006 (2 piece rocker boxes) vs. 2007-2022 (also a 2 piece rocker box but different).

Very helpful. Appreciate the input, and why I want to support American business and won't spend my money on Chinese / Taiwanese parts when I can avoid it.

Just spoke to Lorie at Hammer Performance to place an order.
