jonny ebola, how much did the 10" drop your rear end ?(the bike) did you have to do any other mods to go with them? did you have any probs with the oil case /belt gaurd clearance? how does it ride? I have been contemplating them for my 07 1200low.(but couldn't get any responce from anyone who had them) I have short legs and want the back lowered. i have 2 miles minimum of gravel to the nearest solid road from my house . thank you in advance for your reply.

The 10's slam your sporty just about as low as it will go without struts. The ride is stiff. Make sure your seat bolt does not protrude down inside your rear fender too much. When riding 2 up with my girl who weighs about 115 the bike will bottom on medium to large potholes and bumps. But with all that, I feel the only thing better would be to go with struts. I don't care about how smooth it rides..if I wanted that sh!t I would buy a dresser. :D

Sweet Jonny! I can't remember if I got the HD's or regular's. You'll probably need to order a Hugger or Low kickstand now cause your bike will be standing up to straight for your liking when on it's stand. Mine would almost tip over with a gust of wind.

Sportylow, I responded to your post. All I did was change out the kick/jiffy stand and removed the belt guard for the looks & not cause it was rubbing anything. I went from the stock 13" or 13.5" shocks to the 10", so I could get rid of seeing all that sidewall of the rear tire.

As Goth stated, the ride will be stiff. I ride to up as well, and the GF doesn't complain unless we hit abig bump. Switching out the seat helped a little as well. You can check out pictures of how low it will be by checking out my photos in the gallery.

Goth & WVHogRider, thank you for your replies.I wasn't really worried about a smooth ride; but if there was much of a diff. in the handling ( turns ect) as I am a new rider. ( first bike, only had it a year) Mine is a low already , has 11 1/2" shocks now. I won't be doing any two-up riding. My husband has his own. Thank you so much for your input.

RE: I just bought the Lick's 10" shocks

Hi everyone - this is my first post to the forum. I have a 2008 883L and had the Harley Shop put the 10" shocks (from Lickscycles.com)on my bike, dropping it down about another inch. I am a new rider (under 6 months) and short (4'9"). I rode a Rebel for a couple of months until I passed the MSF course. I don't think the steering has changed much at all. I don't do super sharp turns. The ridewas stiff (omg) so I had them adjust the shock and changed to a solo reach seat. I love it.
