Good luck brotha! You will never regret it. Been down this path. Get some good grips (Jokers), cus you are gonna need them.

I put rocker lockers in while its down. Have not ran into any problems yet. Every thing has come off with out a hitch. When I get the engine back together, I'll start on the clutch.

Just did a 1250 conversion on mine (Hammer). It's a totally different bike now. Good luck!

I know everyone says this is a rookie job, but man it looks like good amount of work.
What are you using for instructions on taking everything apart?

If it's a hammer kit, probably some of the best instructions I have seen. Even if you never do the kit, it's just fun to read.
