42,363 miles

27579-88A SCREW $1.75
40565-91B D401 130/90B16 BW RE $134.24
DF DISPOSAL FEE $3.50

The dealership sales invoice records "Transmission skipping in 1st gear"
This continues today to a minor extent. The work to find the problem continued over the next few years. It was one of the pins on the end of the shift drum being longer than the rest. This kept the detent plate from working correctly. I replaced the drum with a HD unit. I now would rather have a Baker drum.

Front tire yes. I do use my front brake quite a bit. I have locked up the front tire before, on dry pavement. I only have a single disc. I would feel better with two discs and braided lines if I were racing w/corners. Of course that would require a brace and different dampening/springs etc..

I am a single father of two small boy's now. Have changed tires, fluids and one clutch cable.
Thanx.

Welcome to the divorced & married to your motorcycle club!

I'm re-married w/a 6 month old daughter.
This is my 2nd bike after the Honda.
I have yet to replace the clutch cable.
Nor can I (or friends) do tires, gotta rely on the stelerships.

That's insane! I'm a tad over 7k and my rear is over ready and my front is near it's end. I do ride on a lot of twisty's thoughIt's snow season so the Honda with good tires will be the only 1 I attemp to ride, plus I'm tearing the Harley down for paint & stuff

04/15/2005 (oops out of order, this was before the 55k checkup)

After a bad winter where my appartmentneighbor froze the pipes in the garage which kept me from washing my motorcycle, four of us crazies rode to Cape Cod, MA on 04/10/05. Going back to ME on I95 at 80 mph I felt my forks were not working correctly. The salt mixture (calcium chloride in with sodium chloride) had eaten my fork seals. I foolishly lived in Maine for a couple of years. It cost me in repairs. I try to avoid salted roads.

40565-91B D401 130/90B 16 BW RE $140.95
44082-00CBRAKE PAD KIT $35.95
45378-87 OIL SEAL $6.80
45405-75A SOCKET BOLT$1.75
45790-80 SCREW, W/WASHERS $2.00
45984-87O-RING $0.80
511COTTER PIN $0.30
99884-80 FORK OIL-TYPE "E" $3.95
DF DISPOSAL FEE $3.50
