Default XL1200C riser to XL1200 Low installation question

Will the riser and speedo housing from 1200 Custom fit on a '08 1200 Low upper triple tree?

I'm pretty sure it will work. I converted mine the other way, I ditched the custom's riser and went with the standard/low's style. I even think the riseres will fit the trees on most Dyna's too.

I doubt the customs riserwill fit on anything but asporty because, check out the bolt pattern, any way, I also believe stingray is right about fitment custom to low. I have been pondering the switch that you did stingray, tell me, how did you handle the speedo issue, and how about the wiring? It is my understanding a low, after it all, brings the grips one inch farther to the rider, was everything long enough? by the way, nice bike, mine is 05 custom, chopper blue, with matching blue side covers, solo seat, laydown plate- good taste.

I'm not 100% sure on all the other bikes, but I'm pretty sure the Custom's riser should fit any Sportster.

I did not have any trouble with the speedo in my swap. I did have to change out the indicator light housing though, I also had to extend the wires about 6-8", and changed out the break line. The clutch will fit, if you re-route it, it is still a bit tight. I used bars from a Wide Glide, they are about 10" tall mini-apes.

Sounds like the only difference in our bikes is the year and slight color difference. Mines a '06 Rich Sunglow Blue.

I had a 2" pull back riser put on, with no changes in the cables or speedo, The only problem was the speedo is at a little different angle now. But I needed the bars back a little more for the short arms.

Depends on which set of 1200c risers you have the old style straight ones they should fit no problem and you can use the bottom mount speedo, if you use the new style with the bend in them I would bet the speedo will hit the gas tank but the risers themselfs would probably work.
I am assuming you have the peanut tank like I have seen on other LOW models.

If you look at the pic on my sig page you will note that my '08 1200 Low has the 4.3 gal tank. The same as a 1200 Custom. So clearence should not be a problem.
