A friend of my wife has an 89 sportster and wants to upgrade the fuel tank and seat. I told her I would try to help, but I know very little about Sportsters. Can anyone offer any suggestions?

what characteristics are you looking for?

 

She wants a bigger tank and more comfortable seat so she can ride further distances.

 

for the seat, this is what i would do (i have the same seat for my year sporty):

expensive, but just save up!!

for the tank i would have to research, but i would think that an '07 or later 4.5 gal tank would be nice if it can fit on the bike.
