I have a set of SEII balony cut on my 1200R but i will probably do a 2-1 down the road but i love my pipe's i have on there know they just scrape real bad and i think a 2-1 may cure that so i am kind intrested in this info too good luck on the pipe's.

RE: new exhaust for my 1200R
Well I've seen a few different exhausts the last month. Mine came with the SE II's all ready on it (previous owner put them on), i just love the look and the sound that comes from them. Nothing TOO loud, but that great H-D rumble.
Some of the V&H slip ons look nice but, they can be just a bit too loud, IMHO. I don't want to piss off the neighbors when i start the bike early in the morning, and i think the cops around here will let me fly under their radar. YMMV |
RE: new exhaust for my 1200R
For whats its worth I had the dealer punch the baffels out on my 2006, I think it sounds pretty good and best of all they didn't charge me anything. DL[:'(]

Go with V&H 2in1s you wont be unhappy.

RE: new exhaust for my 1200R
I have Vance/Hines on my 00'. They're excellent pipes but if you are looking for the best performance a 2 into 1 header will give better performance than staggered duals. (good article this month on exhaust pulse(s) in Hot Bike magazine if ou want to learn why.)
