i believe saturday (9/3) @ 11pm on speed. my list shows superbikes @ 10pm and only list motorcycle racing @ 11pm. when they televised the last weekend race of the xr's...they said they would be televised again this coming weekend. said it was there last race of the year. so, i gotta believe that the xr race is the 11pm race....i hope, i hope!!!

it's ashame those bikes are so freakin sketchy though on a track. people were tank slappin the **** out of them bikes exiting the corners, too much flex in the frame makes for some hairy racing and those were some top of the line xr's. i could only imagine joe blow taking his xr to the track to ride it (stock) and floppin around worse than what i saw on sunday. cool to see harleys rippin again at indy though.

Chris Ulrich from Roadracing world did a track review on one of the earlier (I think the 2009 model) xr's. I don't think he was to impressed. It kind of reminded me of the early 80's super-bike races . I actually enjoyed watching the races .

oh i enjoyed the heck out of it don't get me wrong, love seeing someone drag a knee at speed on a harley! chris is an accomplished road racer man and if he wasn't impressed that says a lot! great bike to cruise on the street and all. it's funny, i saw a guy out at the track with one and his was far from stock. he had about 20-25k into this xr including the cost of the bike of course (that's just my estimate but the custom marzocchi front end was prolly 5k alone) and yeah it was badass but why? i can have three gixxer 600's sitting in the pits waiting for me to pounce and hire a crew to dial them all in for me for that much dough!

I'm not familiar with with motorcycle racing terms. What is "tank slapping?"
