i am thinking of getting the hd 12 inch mini apes, but i cant find the extended black vinal cables to do the project. i know a lot of people have done these bars ... were are yall getting the cables to fit the new rise!

 

I got a quote for parts and labor from the dealer where I bought my scoot. They have a vendor they can get the black cables from. They had an N on the floor with the setup last time I was there. I checked another local dealer, and they didn't have a solution for black cables. They also had an N on the floor with the setup, however with steel braided cables. The braided cables probably look good on the silver/black Ns, but not the orange/black that was on the floor.

 

I got away with using all the stock cables and the brake line.
Just took a little finesse.

Got my clutch cable from drag specialties. Used stock throttle and idle cables. Got a stock front brake line from a Street Bob.

 

.....and so did I. Wasn't all that difficult.

 

I ordered some Gimp's from Nash that are 12", still waiting to get 'em in. But I'm just gonna wait to buy cables and see if I can "finesse" them in there as well ha![8D]

 

I got a new clutch cable as well as a new brake line.

I can't see using the old brake line unless you bend it to hell, but I wouldn't want to do that I think it would prolly look like shi*t

So it seems like the overall consensus is that everyone has to replace the front brake line. Anyone have a P/N or anything for that?
