Im starting to notice a smallvibration in my handle bars while doing slow turns with the throttle closed, it started happening after i got my bike back from the stealer for its 1k service. I dont know if the vibration is normal due to the throttle being closed but it does have me wondering if there is something wrong with the bike. Do you all have any ideas on whats goin on with my bike, or am i just being paranoid.
I put 200 miles on my 08 custom the firstweek I got it, then we had bad weather so I did'nt get to ride it for a week. When I hopped back on I swore it made noises that it hadn't before. My brother in law assured me that I was just being paranoid, just as you are.
paranoid for sure. I belive part of the 1k service is to reset the idle. This is due to the engine freeing up as it breaks in soto start with idle is set a little higher.
What most of these guys are saying is true. I too thought I had vibrations I should not have had on my wife's Sportster at only 300 miles. Everyone finally convinced me it was the nature of the beast. I made mention of it at the shop where I bought it and they finally agreed to check it out. Guess what?? 300 miles and they had to put in new motor mounts. Things are finally as they should be. If it is under warranty and you question whether or not it is okay, ride another one, have someone else ride yours or let the dealer check it for you rather than assume it is okay.
