Default Metzler MH90-21 vs 90/90H21 ?

As the Subject says,
What is the difference between the Metzler MH90-21 vs 90/90H21 ?

Are they the same size or is theMH90-21 the same size as the 80/90H21 ?

They are the same, just a different numbering (sizing) designation.

The ol'lady's father just got Metzlers for his '92 FXRS. After doing extensive research (the guy is a research fanatic) and talking to a Metzler rep somewhere down south, he reported that Metzler is starting to make tires in the "Harley sizes" since they are so popular with the HD crowd. In edition to the "Harley sizes" (i.e. MH90-21) they have engineered the tires to Harley's inflation specs as well.
I guess there was justtoo much confusion about Metzler tire inflation on HD bikes for us knuckledraggers...

Hmmm, Is the inflation still 38/42 for the MH90-21 ME880 as per Metzler's "crtitical air pressure information" ?They suggest running tires close to the max inflatioin stamped on the sidewall (40 psi)

I guess thats why Metzlers extensive PDF file cross reference and fitment information was removed from there web site last week. [:@]

Ive always hated the letter based sizing system.

Hogsport,
The best advice would probably come from the horse's mouth. You may wanna call Metzler's 1-800 # and find out the "right" info from them to be safe.
I just bought a 90/90-21 Metzler for mine and I will be using the 38/42 inflation pressures in mine but it was my understanding (I got the info second hand but the ol'lady's dad ain't no idiot) that the "new" Metzlers will be closer to HD's inflation recommendations.

I fully agree with cHarley when it comes to the "letter based" sizing system. IMO it sucks.

BT,
Yea, I agree with both of you, but the full description on the side of the tire is MH90-21 M/C 54H. The 54H is the same designation so I guess it is the same as the 90/90 21. Seems unnecesarily confusing though.

I do know about metz.. but in the Avon Venon's a 90/90 is about .5 inch wider than a MH90.
