She's Alive!!!
Finally (7 weeks later) got my pipes on the bike. Went to a buddy's and we put my V&H Sideshots on in 3 hours withonly a little trouble lining up the pipes and flanges with the ports, but we got it.
I'm ecstatic! It seems that the bike finally came alive......sounds and feels like a REAL HD and it gets the looks it deserves. Today I'm getting the air filter and re-map and can't wait tofeel that difference. I'm trying to go easy on it until then but I noticedthe torque curve is majorly increased through the RPM range. The engine no longer struggles to pass and getting up to speed is effortless (and vibration-less....well, comparitvely speaking).
I couldn't be happier.......well I'd be happier if I could be riding rather than at work. The sig pic is a little outdated, so I need to get it cleaned upto show off all the new mods.
To those with aftermarket pipes: Did you feel like the bike finally came alive after you put them on? I know HD has to apease the EPA but man, it seems that pleasing the EPA robs the bike of all its fun!?!?!
